GOODS & SERVICES - MENTORING RELATIONSHIPS - RESPITE
On Sunday mornings FaithBuilders continues to serve
the homeless population in our community by providing
weekly snacks and monthly toiletries. We serve anywhere
from 75-125 homeless individuals per week.
FaithBuilders was awarded 2 “Good Apple” Awards from USD 259 this year. What a blessing!
FaithBuilders has partnered with and met needs at these Wichita schools:
Spaght, Mueller, Gordon Parks, Clark, Enterprise, Wells-Greiffenstein and Hyde elementary schools,
as well as East, West and Southeast High Schools.

Worked with “Aces in the Community” as high school students volunteered in the community
FaithBuilders walked alongside and supported over 100 teen moms
and at-risk families. We also provided much needed diapers and wipes
to school daycares that care for the children of these teen moms,
while they obtain their education.
Although it is difficult to quantify, one of the most important things FaithBuilders did in 2015
was to provide mentoring to families in crisis, teen moms, students, young adults, foster kids,
single moms, homeless, etc. We are passionate about serving these populations and
feel blessed to be able to come alongside, support and mentor them.
FaithBuilders continues to partner with DCCCA and provide dinner
twice monthly to the foster children and parents in the Connections program,
as well as mentoring support to the teenagers in this program.
FaithBuilders was once again honored to support DCCCA in their regional
foster care Christmas parties. We wrapped and provided gifts for over
700 foster care children and supplied food and party supplies for 4 foster care
Christmas parties throughout the state.
FaithBuilders coordinated a school supply drive.
We provided school supplies for 69 local children and also provided supplies directly to partner schools in our city.
FaithBuilders joined forces with Hunter Health Clinic for a community baby shower to benefit 70 uninsured mothers-to-be.
We provided diapers and baby supplies to their low-income obstetrical clinic,
together with blankets, wipes, sibling treat bags, and raffle items.
FaithBuilders supported a family grieving the loss of their 5 day old baby,
by coordinating the funeral, assisting with expenses for a memorial, and providing a family dinner.
FaithBuilders delivered 25 Thanksgiving dinners for families.
FaithBuilders provided food to over 30 families in our community
who could not sustain groceries for their children during school breaks for Thanksgiving and Christmas.
FaithBuilders delivered Christmas gifts for 315 kiddos in our community.
FaithBuilders donated formula and pull-ups to the Butler County Children’s Home, which recently opened.
FaithBuilders donated formula to a hospital in Guatemala.
